Riverside is passionate and committed to reaching beyond the boundaries of our region and country with the good news of Jesus Christ. Many nationalities are represented in our family and we have built positive relationships with a number of the countries from which they come. It is our vision that everyone should get involved in mission at some level during the year; this may be in serving the vision of others or going out to the mission field and experiencing life through the eyes of others.

We are also committed to mission becoming an activity that is seen across all areas of church life; children and youth, families and community action. There are a number of charitable organisations that we have established significant relationships with and we value the fantastic opportunities these relationships present to become involved in the lives of people all round the globe.

Compassion

Compassion is an evangelical Christian child sponsorship organisation who give loving Christians a chance to make a difference. Rather than being overwhelmed by the staggering statistics of poverty we believe it is our Christian responsibility to help the poor as Christ did. Compassion works through local churches overseas to release children from economic, social, physical and spiritual poverty.

Riverside has partnered with Compassion to sponsor children in Bangalore, India. We currently sponsor over 60 children across a small number of projects and a further 15 in other countries in the developing world. Hopefully by the time you are reading this, these numbers will be out of date!

Guitar Aid

Guitar Aid is a worldwide vision to release and empower others to worship, by providing instruments for those unable to obtain or afford them. Guitar Aid started in 1990. So far they have given over 2000 guitars to more than 75 different countries. They purchase their own brand guitars direct from the factory, at very good prices. Guitar Aid want you to be able to sow into this work and see many won for Jesus as the Church rises up with new sounds of worship. Yes, the instrument you sponsor can make a difference.

Guitar Aid founder, Dave Sumner is a partner at Riverside and is supported to travel all round the world ministering to the needs of Christians through facilitating their worship.

Seeway Trust

The Seeway Trusts heart for the children of the developing world is not just to feed them, we also want to make a real difference to their lives now - by providing them with a Home as part of a family and to give them a future - by providing them with a good education.

Riverside supports another of our partners; Janet Wheeler (Director of Social Welfare Services) who is a missionary with Seeway Trust in Ghana and is responsible for the development of a number of mission activities including Countryside Orphanage Home, Osenase Orphanage and Nsuaem Orphanage.
