The Board of Directors

Riverside Church is a registered charity and as such we have a legal obligation to ensure that it is run in accordance with charitable law and guidance. Over the past year, we have recruited a skilled and motivated team of individuals from within the church to undertake this important role as Directors of Riverside Christian Centre. Each of the directors brings specific expertise and knowledge to the development and management of the charitable purpose of the organisation.

Paul Ashton (Chairman)

Paul is the Chief Executive Officer of a national charitable organisation working with adults with learning disabilities. He brings organisational and leadership skills and experience which are vital to the work of Riverside.

Aran Richardson (Chief Executive Officer)

Aran is the Senior Pastor at Riverside Church and is also the CEO of Riverside Christian Centre. He is ultimately responsible for the leadership and management of the organisation.

Justin Humphreys (Executive Director)

Justin is the Assistant Pastor at Riverside Church and brings expertise from a professional background in strategic development, performance management and consultancy within the public and voluntary sector. His role is to assist the CEO with the day to day organisation of Riverside Christian Centre.

Peter Corney (Director)

Peter is one of the 'fathers of the house' at Riverside Church. He brings a professional background in sales and marketing within the financial sector to the work of Riverside.

Richard Buswell (Finance Director)

Richard brings significant expertise to the board from his professional background in finance and project management within local government.

Bill Hill (Director)

Bill is one of the longest-standing members of Riverside Church. He is an ordained minister and is one of the Chaplains at HMP Exeter. Bill's specific role on the board is in relation to facilities management.

The Board of Directors have a duty to ensure the effective management of the charity and as such have a range of guidance documents that describe the manner in which this is done. Click here to read more.
